Children's Piercing
A message to parents & guardians
Speaking from years of experience - It is easy for everyone to get excited, but this can cause extra stress to a little one getting a piercing.
We need parents to help us by remaining calm and supportive. Once we're in the piercing room, please keep talking to a minimum, speak softly, and allow them to run the show.
We kindly ask that you do not tell your little ones that piercing will not hurt, because this is simply not true. Piercings can be a lil' spicy.
During the process we will clean and mark for piercing, prep the skin, pierce one ear, and then the other ear. We can try each step up to three times, then we'll have to try another day. If they tell us they don't want to get their piercings that day, we understand and we will discontinue the service immediately. Please understand that cancellation fees will apply for the time reserved for the appointment and the single use supplies used.
Their autonomy is our priority in the piercing room. We will not begin the process unless they tell us it is okay to do so and we will not pierce them until they tell us it is okay to do so. Even if this includes piercing one ear and not the other. We can always try again another day. It is their body, and their choice.
We will not tolerate harsh or demeaning words, bribery, or restraint while we are doing piercings.
Please keep in mind:
Piercings cannot be submerged in unclean water for 3 months.
Jewelry should not be removed for sports, etc. until the piercings are fully healed.
